Lanson YFC Summer Do
Our Summer Do was held last weekend (June 18th) at Pipers Pool, by kind permission of Paul and Simon Burden. The theme this year was charity shop fancy dress, with some fantastically wacky clothing appearing, including men in ladies clothing! The evening was well attended and good fun was had by all.
Farm Walk at Beara Farm
This years farm walk was held at Beara Farm, the home of Robert and Hilary Tucker. Members were given a guided tour, seeing his crop production, pedigree Charolais cows and one thousand head flock of mule ewes, which are put to Charolais rams. It was very interesting to see how Robert and Hilary conduct such a well run farm on 300 acres, employing no other staff, except at lambing time. Alongside this, they run a farmhouse B&B.
